This weekend, the lovely folks from Craft Reactor will be selling their wares along with other crafty people at Edinburgh’s Earthy Foods on Ratcliffe Terrace which is hosting its very own Earthy Craft Fair on Sunday 7th November. With lots of events, including a members exhibition planned for December, now is the time to join Craft Reactor if you are so inclined! Details of how to do so are on the website… www.craftreactor.com

The Dean Gallery is currently home to a truly impressive exhibition of Surrealist art titled Another World which takes up (I think) eight of its rather spacious rooms - there is so much there that one visit wasn’t enough, since I arrived at 3pm and it closed at 5pm, so I’m going to have to go again and fork out for it twice – let this be a warning to anyone thinking of going!

Edinburgh Printmakers winter exhibition this year is a themed affair with the title Myths and Legends: From the Ancient to the Modern and will include members work in response to the theme. If Eleni Kalarkoti’s Slavic God is anything to go by it promises to be a really interesting and stimulating exhibition – and of course as usual all work will be for sale and prices start from as little as £30. The exhibition runs from 13th November to 23rd December. My own freak show Mermaid themed print Wonder of Wonders will also be on show.
